Samaritanus

Samaritanus means “Samaritan” in latin. This word has special meaning for us in our life story. It is of one who “helps others in need”, from the Gospel of Luke. To be mindful and kindful is to have a heart of compassion towards all people. Along with the spirit of adventure, we love to meet new people, new cultures and experience life with our global neighbors. Thus, we are preparing Samaritanus, our 33’ Hans Christian Yacht, to attempt ocean crossings and experience life abroad.

We do not know if this is possible, but we believe we can do it; we are setting forth on the journey. Ups and downs are all posted here, along with discovery of the world and ourselves. The journey may be short or long.

The boat may be sold for way less than we’ve put into it…. or we may be spending years on our new floating home creating spectacular life long memories and relationships. Either way, life is the ultimate ocean and we are sailing it! Attempting to reach our goals will always be the greatest adventure.
